What is peptide?
A seven-residue analogue of tuftsin, from the same research tradition as its sister peptide.
is a synthetic peptide of seven amino acids: Thr–Lys–Pro–Arg–Pro–Gly–Pro. It extends tuftsin, a natural four-residue peptide, with the same Pro–Gly–Pro tail found in . Prism Labs supplies it as a lyophilized vial.
01
What it is
The sequence is TKPRPGP. The reference record lists the formula C33H57N11O9 and a molecular weight of 751.9 g/mol (PubChem CID 11765600).
Its first four residues are tuftsin (Thr–Lys–Pro–Arg), a peptide first described as a fragment of an antibody heavy chain. The added Pro–Gly–Pro is why papers call it a tuftsin analogue.

02
Where it came from
It was developed in Russia in the same research tradition as , and was studied in the early 2000s alongside other short peptides of the tuftsin family.
Later work used gene-expression methods: a 2014 study tracked inflammation-related genes over time, and a 2016 study examined genes involved in GABA signaling.

What researchers have studied
Most published work is in rodents and cell cultures:
- Stress-response behavior in rodent models.
- Immune- and inflammation-related gene expression.
- Genes involved in GABA signaling.
- Brain-network activity, in a 2020 study that also examined .
These are observations in laboratory models. They are not evidence about any use in people.

Both are seven-residue synthetic peptides ending in Pro–Gly–Pro. extends tuftsin (TKPRPGP); extends an ACTH fragment (MEHFPGP). Their research literatures differ as much as their parent peptides.

How it is supplied and stored
ships as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in 5 mg or 10 mg vials. The powder is stable at room temperature in transit. For lab use it is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water such as .
For a vial, concentration is content divided by volume: 10 mg in 2 mL gives 5 mg per mL. The reconstitution calculator handles other combinations.
For storage before and after reconstitution, see how to store lyophilized peptides.
06
How to verify a batch
Every lot has its own certificate of analysis from an independent lab. Read three results separately:
- Identity: confirms the expected compound was detected.
- Purity: the share of the measured material that is the intended compound.
- Content: the amount measured, compared with the label.
Then match the lot number on your vial or bottle to the report, and use the report’s verification link to confirm it with the testing lab. Step by step: how to read a peptide COA.

Questions, answered
What is peptide?
A synthetic seven-amino-acid analogue of tuftsin (TKPRPGP), studied mainly in rodent stress-response and gene-expression research.
What is tuftsin?
A natural four-residue peptide, Thr–Lys–Pro–Arg, first described as a fragment of an antibody heavy chain.
What is the difference between and ?
Both are seven-residue peptides ending in Pro–Gly–Pro. One extends tuftsin, the other an ACTH fragment, and their research literatures differ.
Does it come as a nasal spray?
No. Prism Labs supplies it as 5 mg and 10 mg lyophilized vials, each lot with its own COA. How the two formats differ in general: peptide nasal spray vs vial.
Is it for human use?
No. Prism Labs sells it for laboratory research use only.
